After many tries, finally, Indian govt has launched its first coronavirus testing app named CORONA KAVACH APP. It has been introduced by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in association with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MHFW). This app is now android based and not compatible with ios and other UIs.
This app generally works on the location of the user and tries to track details near them if they come in contact with COVID -19 risks.

WHAT IS CORONA KAVACH?
Indian govt have many tried many aspects to stop the spread of COVID -19 but, the numbers are increasing day by day of infected persons. Our honorable PM also declared the lockdown of India for 21 days to tackle this disaster. After many tries Indian govt have launched this app that somehow spread awareness about the same.
After installing the app, You just need to answer some of the questions like body temperature, traveling history, breathing problem, etc and your health report will be formed in a very specific and which will be easy to understand.
Alert messages will be provided to you if you come in contact with some risks or the infected person near you !!!
Coronavirus: role of technology for its detection
Right now this app is a beta version and after further more updates, it will be providing more accurate and beneficial info. Still, you can get the info like the number of cases in India, a number of active cases, deaths, breathing capacity tracker, and self-diagnostic tool.
Moreover, India has also published its own website named COVID19India.org where you can get also the info related to COVID -19 in India.
HOW TO USE CORINA KAVACH?
- Install the app from the play store.
- After installing the app, it will ask you for storage and location permissions, allow them.
- After getting the gist of the app, it asks you to provide the phone number.
- After entering the phone number, you will get the OTP to register.
- Then you will be forwarded to its homepage and will be asked for general questions.
- You have to answer all the questions very sincerely and correctly.
- After that, you will be categorized as ALL GOOD, QUARANTINED OR INFECTED.
- You are done now.
In India, Gujarat also launched the same kind of app which will look after all the infected persons and will inform the authorities if someone tries to move out of their specific areas. It is also a location-based app which is monitoring around 20,000 people in Gujarat.
In my opinion, this is a great step to tackle this situation and to spread awareness about CORONA VIRUS However, it needs to become stable and be used by as many people as possible in order to work. Only when people in India start using the app, then it will become a useful tool in our fight against Coronavirus.

PM has taken a huge step by locking down the whole country, which can help the whole nation to fight against this problem.
