Few Society fears of Technology and Why

1) Personal Information Tracking

There are some ways of tracking, example, websites know who you are if you are logged in. Now the question is how do these tracking networks build up profiles of your browsing activity.
Tracking process is generally done by advertising networks to build up detailed profiles for pin pointing ad targets. If you’ve ever ever visited a site to buy something and then the next day when you surf on net you see  the ad of that same site the next day on any other website, then you’ve witnessed it in action. This is how websites are tracking you.

Through your IP Addresses

The most basic way of identifying you is your IP Address. Your IP identifies you on the Internet. It’s likely that your computer shares an IP address with the other networked devices in your house or office. From your IP Address, a website can determine your geographical location. So, this is a matter of concern.

Through HTTP Referrer

The HTTP referrer is an optional HTTP header field that identifies the address of the webpage which is linked to the resource being requested. By checking the referrer, the new webpage can see where the request originated.

Cookies and Tracking

Cookies are pieces of information websites can store in your browser. They have plenty of legitimate uses, as cookie remembers your login information.

2) Robots

Robotics or Artificial intelligence are used in manufacturing ,in search, in rescue
missions and in the military, They are used in the factories all over the world and many people recently have lost their jobs as Robots have become more efficient and precise than the humans.
Want to know more about the advantages and disadvantages of Robots, here’s the best site I found on internet.

3) Self-driving cars

self driving cars

One study into fears surrounding technology revealed that self driving cars were one of the top concerns across all generations. While some cars on the road already have autopilot or driver-assist modes, the concept of a car that drives entirely on its own can be cause for concern.
Without someone manually driving or “taking the wheel”, these self-driving cars will have to make life or death decisions on their own. Which leaves many wondering about ethical dilemmas like- will the car prioritize the driver’s life at the expense of the road users ?
