Asthros: NASA to send telescope in a stratospheric balloon

Investigating the universe and in particular, the formation of stars has been an integral part of modern science. This is the main reason behind the launch of several telescopes in space.

But, NASA is always there to think out of the box! It has planned to launch its telescope. Not in space but in the stratosphere, that too with a balloon. Let’s talk about it in detail.

NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has started working on a pioneering new mission that will carry a cutting-edge 2.5-meter telescope into the stratosphere on a balloon to observe wavelengths of light that are not visible from the ground, the space agency said in the release.
