MITRON app is gaining popularity in the past few weeks and coming out to be the alternative of one of the popular Chinese app called TikTok. On google play store it already crossed 50 lakhs downloads in this short period, MITRON app gained popularity in the latest controversy between two industries- YOUTUBE VS TikTok.

HOW IT ALL STARTED ??
It all started a few weeks back where a rivalry began between YOUTUBE and TIKTOK where YouTubers got whole support and TikTok was rudely bashed with hate comments like " BOYCOTT TIKTOK ", " STOP USING TIKTOK " etc. This topic took speed and spreading like a fire in the forest, at every social media platform, TikTok was gaining hate and hate.
This was the time where rumored started spreading about the MITRON app.
It all started with WhatsApp forwards where MITRON app was declared as the
Indian TikTok app and everyone was requested to download this and delete the
official app of TikTok. Even some of the messages stated that this app was made
by an IITian - IIT ROORKEE student, which is fake.
IS MITRON APP SAFE ??
This desi TikTok app "MITRON" is a clone of the Pakistani app called "TICITC".
The reality is if you spend around 34$ or (2500rs ), you can get the real source
code of this app on CodeCanyon Platform. According to some sources, the real
app owner of TICTIC app, himself admitted, this MITRON app is just a re-
branded version of our app, nothing else. Around 277 people own the source code
of this app.
When you download this app from the play store, it asks you of all kinds of
permission like permission for using CAMERA, MICROPHONE, GALLERY etc.
When you allow this kind of permission, the app can access your phone's privacy
and can even steal information. Even if you go to the privacy policy of this app, you will be directed to another website called "shopkiller". This shows, MITRON don't have any kind of guards for the data of users, this makes this app even more vulnerable.
